  • Servicing, maintenance and repairing various mechanical equipment either in company workshop or at client premises
  • Undertaking installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment which will include air compressors, high pressure cleaners, forklift trucks and marine engines
  • Dismantling, repairing and overhauling mechanical plant items
  • Diagnosing electrical faults on mechanical equipment undertaking any programming / adjustments required
  • Compiling maintenance and service logs
Talent will:

  • Provide support to the Building Services team across all phases of the design and consultancy process, offering specialist input into schematic, concept, and detailed MEP system designs.
  • Develop technical drawings, material specifications, plant layouts, and workshop designs in accordance with contract requirements using AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Lead the configuration and ongoing development of Revit for MEP design, including the creation of families, templates, and workflows, as well as delivering training and guidance to team members.
  • Prepare clash detection reports using Navisworks, carry out QA/QC checks, and undertake comprehensive site surveys to ensure accuracy and design integrity.

Our client is a design, cost and project management consultancy operating from Head Quarters on Malta but undertaking projects throughout the world. Due to continued project awards and expansion of the commercial team, a Cost Manager / QS is now required to join the organisation on a full time basis. Reporting to the Head of Quantity Surveying, the purpose of this role will be to develop commercial strategies in accordance with project requirements; ensuring that all commercial aspects are properly controlled whilst developing and maintaining relationships with the client. Responsibilities:
  • Liaison with Client and the project team to determine the Client requirements and to develop brief
  • Prepare appraisals as required, assessing the effects of capital expenditure
  • Advise the team on the project brief, preferred procurement routes, costs and cash flow
  • Advise on alternative procurement options
  • Analyse the whole-life costs of a project through both planning the construction process.
  • Take responsibility for the monitor and control of costs during pre-contract stages
  • Co-ordination of risk and value management exercises
  • Preparation of tender and contract documentation
  • Act as part of the Client’s team conducting negotiations with tenderers and assisting in tender selection and appraisal on behalf of the Client
  • Provide contractual advice for parties involved in the case of dispute
  • Liaise with Client’s insurance advisers and advise on insurance related matters in construction
  • Liaise with Client’s legal advisers on use and/or amendments to standard forms of contract or contribute to drafting of particular Client requirements; making recommendation for Client’s approval
The applicant will:
  • Be degree qualified and preferably (but not essentially) be MRICS
  • Possess solid experience in the cost management of large scale, luxury projects
  • Where possible have knowledge of integrated building services on major projects
  • Demonstrate experience using cost estimating software (advantageous)

Job Role: Marine Logistics Coordinator Location: Qatar Role Overview: To coordinate and execute offshore and subsea logistics planning, control and management related to logistics, marine inspection, mobilization, and installation activities for various offshore projects. To act as a focal point for interface between various project working groups, within departments, with external stake holders, other project groups, JV entities and organisations.   • Provides technical evaluation of the marine vessels to ensure that the proposed marine spread is in accordance with requirements and intended scope.
  • Coordinates with the project’s offshore installation for the necessary inspections and ensure readiness for timely mobilisation according to the project execution plan.
  • Supports Head of Commissioning, Head of Construction and Project Team in providing technical evaluation for the proposed offshore marine support vessels during bidding stage.

  • Organise final/follow-up inspection to ensure that all identified punch items are closed to the satisfaction of Marine & Safety prior to mobilizing infield.
  • Ensure that the Project Manager, Head of Projects, Head of Construction, Head of Commissioning and Senior Project Engineers are fully informed on all execution related issues and provide recommendation for resolutions.
  • To act as the main focal point for all offshore execution related communications to ensure that clear directives and responsibilities are identified and integrated into offshore activities of respective project technical and construction teams.
  • Participate in review of project scope of works related to offshore logistics activities and provide inputs during FEED and Bid evaluation stage.
  • Coordinate offshore survey and related activities and access marine requirements.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
Experience:
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in offshore capital projects logistics management and coordination.
  • Possess extensive leadership, coordination, communication and management skills within an integrated PTF organization and in dealing with EPIC Contractor PTF.
  • Good IT and analytical skills, with ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end delivery of EPC projects (typically up to $500M TIC) - Ensure safe execution aligned with HSE, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements - Take full accountability for project financial performance and delivery outcomes - Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders - Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including JV partners and subcontractors - Support proposal development and bid phase activities where required - Define project scope and manage changes between bid and execution phases - Negotiate variations and manage contractual changes with clients - Develop and maintain execution plans, ensuring adherence throughout the project lifecycle - Provide regular reporting on project performance to internal and external stakeholders - Drive a high-performance culture aligned with safety, quality, and delivery excellence Qualifications & Experience - Degree qualified in Engineering (P.E. preferred) - 12–15+ years experience delivering EPC projects within oil & gas / energy sector - Proven experience managing large, complex projects or multiple smaller projects simultaneously - Strong track record across offshore, LNG, refining, or petrochemical projects - Experience in energy transition, decarbonisation, or sustainability projects advantageous - Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and risk - Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing capability - Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary project teams If you are an experienced EPC Project Manager looking to lead complex, high-value projects within a global energy environment, please get in touch - chris.kellie@ablyresources.com
