Vessel Equipment Engineer – Worldwide Offshore Operations

Ably Resources is supporting a global offshore organisation in the search for an experienced Vessel Equipment Engineers to join their fleet of offshore vessels operating on international projects.

This is a key position responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance and operational readiness of critical vessel equipment, supporting safe and efficient offshore operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead maintenance and repair activities for mechanical production equipment
• Supervise and support offshore mechanical teams
• Plan preventative maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements
• Ensure equipment certification, preservation and operational readiness
• Support project mobilisation and demobilisation activities
• Promote the highest standards of safety, quality and operational performance

Requirements
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar offshore role
• Strong background working with either: Vertical Lay System (VLS) equipment, or S-Lay system equipment
• Proven experience managing maintenance activities on offshore construction vessels
• Strong leadership and team management skills
