Head of LNG Shipping HSE & Incident Management ⚓

Our client, a leading international energy organisation is seeking an experienced Head of LNG Shipping HSE & Incident Management to support its global LNG shipping operations and maritime risk management activities.

This is a senior leadership role focused on overseeing LNG shipping HSSE governance, incident response readiness, maritime security, crisis management and operational resilience across a large international LNG fleet portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of LNG shipping incident response and emergency management procedures
• Act as the focal point during marine incidents and coordinate response activities with internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee maritime security monitoring and risk mitigation activities across the LNG fleet
• Manage incident escalation processes, severity assessments and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate emergency response exercises, simulations and mobilisation drills
• Support business continuity, enterprise risk and corporate HSSE initiatives
• Drive continual improvement across shipping HSSE standards and operational resilience

Requirements:

• Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner / Chief Engineer) OR degree qualified within Marine, Engineering, Business or similar
• Strong experience within LNG shipping, marine operations, HSSE, maritime security or incident management
• Proven leadership experience managing complex operational incidents and emergency response scenarios
• Strong understanding of global maritime risk and shipping security environments
• Experience working within structured incident response frameworks would be highly advantageous
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive within high-pressure operational environments

This position will suit candidates currently operating within LNG shipping operators, major energy companies, marine assurance teams, maritime security organisations or large-scale shipping environments.
