Company Overview:
Ably Resources is working with a leading player in the offshore drilling industry, committed to excellence in safety, performance, and environmental responsibility. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Derrickman to join their team on a 7th Generation Drillship operating in the West Africa region.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate the derrick equipment during drilling operations.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the derrick and related equipment.
Work closely with the drilling team to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Monitor drilling parameters and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Derrickman on offshore drilling rigs.
Proficient in the operation and maintenance of derrick equipment.
IWCF level 1, BOSIET CAEBS, OGUK Medical, H2S and further offshore training
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Position Overview

Administrative Oversight
Manage and supervise the administrative team to ensure smooth and efficient port operations.

Regulatory Compliance

Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure adherence to all applicable laws.

Documentation and Record Keeping

Manage documentation processes for vessel arrivals, departures, and cargo handling.
Communication and Coordination

Foster effective communication and collaboration among various port departments.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve administrative issues.
Budget Management

Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the administrative budget.
Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures when possible.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marine Disciplines, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in port administration or maritime operations.
Strong knowledge of port regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to make sound decisions and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Purpose of the Job:
As the Vessel Traffic Planner, you will be responsible for meticulously planning and scheduling vessel movements, as well as coordinating the deployment of logistics and resources required for seamless marine operations. Your strategic insights and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in maintaining the port's impeccable reputation for reliability and efficiency.

Experience & Skills:
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' working experience, including at least 5 years in port or terminal scheduling. Your analytical prowess and proactive approach to planning and troubleshooting will set you apart in this role. As challenges arise, your resourcefulness and ability to work under pressure with agility to meet tight deadlines will be invaluable.
You will have the independence to make informed decisions while displaying resourcefulness in finding optimal solutions. As the Engineering Officer of the Watch DP, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and overseeing the dynamic positioning system on board our clients advanced drillship. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of all engineering systems, with a primary focus on the dynamic positioning system to support safe and efficient drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the dynamic positioning system to maintain the drillship's position and heading during drilling activities.
Conduct routine checks and inspections of all engineering systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
Collaborate with the drilling and marine teams to coordinate activities and respond effectively to any dynamic positioning challenges.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the dynamic positioning system, propulsion, power management, and other engineering systems.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards at all times.
Train and mentor junior engineering staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in dynamic positioning operations.

Experience in NDT operator activities
CSWIP 3.1 (or equivalent, such as IWI-S)
Magnetic Particle Test (MT) ISO 9712 LEVEL 2 or PCN Level 2
Ultrasonic Test (UT) ISO 9712 LEVEL 2 or PCN Level 2 (3.1, 3.2. 3.8 3.9)
Liquid Penetrate Inspections (LP) ISO 9712 or PCN Level 2
