My client are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer (Electrical) to join their dynamic Renewables division. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with on-site responsibilities in Aberdeen and Kirkwall. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to our mission of sustainable energy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Electrical Systems Manager to plan, design, and execute electrical engineering projects
- Develop and review electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts for renewable energy systems
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations to support project development
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment and systems at project sites
- Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability
- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and project updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in renewable energy and electrical engineering
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within the renewable energy sector
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP)
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Aberdeen, Kirkwall, and other locations as required

My client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop our multi-discipline engineering team, including the drafting function. In this key role, you will be responsible for resource planning, performance management, and continuously improving their engineering processes and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain robust engineering processes to ensure design integrity at all stages
- Oversee engineering work planning, progress monitoring, and change management
- Act as a technical expert and point of contact for clients, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities

Candidates require a background in ROV / Intervention / Subsea Tooling, ideally both Electronic and Hydraulic but if only experienced in one discipline the company are happy to provide training on their products. The position is to be one of the first hires on site, and as part of your induction you will be flown to their main facility for training and development to fully familiarise yourself with the business.

- Experience in asset integrity management methods and techniques including RBI assessment, corrosion control and mitigation, integrity inspection, advanced and specialized NDT, fitness-for-service analysis, root cause failure analysis/investigation, written scheme of examination, turnaround/shutdown inspection scope implementation, and structures integrity inspection performance review and management.
- Professional engineering certification, and / or working knowledge with international codes, standards, recommended practice such as ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME PCC 2, API RP 2SIM, API RP 510, API RP 570, API 598, API 579, API RP 583, API RP 571, and any other professional certification related to Integrity Inspection is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years diversified & practical experience in oil and gas industry, of which more than 3 years’ experience as an Asset Integrity Engineer.
- Mechanical Engineering, Material Science degree or equivalent, preferably with Honours.
