  • Responsibilities will include: Coordinating and supervising site activities
  • Planning procedures and determining any work requirements
  • Overseeing project progress to ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Interpretting technical information and explaining to team
  • Communicating regularly with Project Manager and subcontractors
  • Responding to details or any problems such as emergencies
  • Ensuring health & safety codes on site are complied with
  Talent will:
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English – preferably also in Maltese

  • Follow up on all the quality control of the interiors and finishing works on the project as well as ensure that all quality control for FF&E is carried out prior to delivery to sit
  • Keep all relevant parties engaged and coordinated to meet the standards required at all phases of the works and installation
  • Coordinate the services of consultants and the works of the contractors and other project stakeholders with the aim of achieving the required results in terms of quality, time and cost.
  • Organize and lead the necessary site meetings together with the project management team, or if not leading, ensure participation in all such coordination meetings with consultants and stakeholders;
  • Anticipate client needs and propose appropriate solutions together
  • Assist the project management team with developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager by meeting and liaising with Client/s and Professional Teams to help determine Clients’ requirements, seeking to appeal to their scope, goals, objectives, vision and deliverables

  • Inspect and deliver supervision services on project sites to ensure compliance with contract documents, professional and company standards, health and safety, and codes of practice while also preparing site progress reports as necessary
  • Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s and the company’s best interests
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Support the Senior Project Manager with the development of, and following up on QA/QC project plans and associated communications documents
  • Ensure project Quality Assurance confirmed with feedback from clients by overseeing quality control throughout the lifecycle of projects, implementing the necessary rectifications when needed
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project management team and with other stakeholders when necessary
  • Mitigate project risks and manage issues
  • Compile status reports and assist with troubleshooting problem areas
  • Keep minutes of all meetings held, distributing these in a timely manner and ensure that feedback to the minutes is sought in order to confirm what was discussed and agreed to during the same meeting
  • Provide a direct link between the project (management and design) team and the client. Such management and design teams will include but will not be limited to architects, engineers, health and safety, interior designers, project managers, cost managers and all project sub-consultants
  • Prepare recommendations and adjustments where deemed necessary, for Clients’ approval
  • Together with the site team, ensure to maintain schedules, programme of works, procurement schedules, quality control documentation.

Our Client is a prestigious multi disciplinary consultancy offering a range of design, cost and project management services to high profile clients both locally and internationally.   Due to continued project awards and expansion, a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor is required to join the busy commercial team based in central Malta.   Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP works as per project designs and specifications.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of supplier bids, and negotiation of contracts for MEP services and materials.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate complete and accurate BoQ’s for MEP components
  • Managing and administering contracts, tracking variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitoring budgets and expenditures; providing cost reports and forecasts for financial outcomes.
  • Conducting interim valuations and processing contractor payment applications
  • Identifying potential cost risks and suggesting actions to manage and mitigate them.
  • Managing cost implications of project changes
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts for services, reconciling all costs at the end of the project.
  • Working closely with all stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
  • Preparing recommendations for Clients’ approval
  Talent will:
  • Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Preferably hold a professional membership
  • Demonstrate at 5 years+ experience as a QS on building services projects (preferably large scale hospitality, commercial and/or industrial)
  • Be proficient with cost estimation software and preferably be familiar with BIM processes
  • Have a valid driving license
  • Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Be assertive and have the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Be capable of handling several projects simultaneously
