- Key Objectives & Principal accountabilities
- Support the Head of Development Planning Section in negotiations, reviewing, drafting, and finalising operational agreement contracts.
- Responsible for key operational agreements
- Effectively manage and ensure the implementation and compliance of the established operational and commercial contracts.
- Coordinate meetings related to interfaces and key operational agreements, both internally and externally, to initiate discussions and formalise settlements for both commercial and technical support.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders including but not limited to Joint Venture Partners (JVPs), national oil company, local government bodies, communities, and business partners.
- Develop and maintain networking with customers .
- Working Relationship
- Collaborate closely with the Project Execution Team as well as other relevant departments within the Company, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of project objectives.
- Key Stakeholders: Maintain effective working relationships with the national oil company and its subsidiaries, and other partners, who are the key stakeholders in the Project. Collaborate on development studies, share project updates, and ensure alignment with their requirements and expectations.
- Qualifications / Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
- Experiences with operational agreements for instance Power purchase agreement, Land Sublease Agreement, water supply agreement, common facilities agreement, Sulphur Sale Agreement, Right of Ways, Pipeline Crossing Agreement, Construction and Tie-In Agreement (CTIA), Land Use Agreement (LUA) etc.
- Strong teamwork, communications, and leadership skills.
- University degree (or similar qualification) in Engineering, or related fields of study.
- Experiences with major oil and gas projects.
- Experiences in negotiating oil and gas contracts.
- Fluent in oral & written English.
- Familiarity with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry.
- Working knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint

- To safeguard the company's Specialty Chemical (SC) interests; and

- Alignment to the company's strategic direction and integrated value are unlocked & optimized.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets or merger partners that align with the company's growth strategy. This may involve evaluating industry trends, competitive landscape, and financial performance of potential targets.
- Execution of Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions: Plan, lead, coordinate and drive all matters related to Investment and M&A transaction process which include conducting valuation, conducting due diligence, developing deal structures, developing negotiation strategies and finalizing the legal documentation in accordance with the relevant limits of authority.
- Post Acquisition activities: Coordinate and drive the development of integration plans post-acquisition. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as HR, IT, operations) to address integration challenges and ensure smooth transition and realization of synergies.
- Stakeholders Management, Communication & Reporting: Build and maintain relationships with external advisors, consultants, and other parties involved in M&A transactions. Foster positive relationships and collaboration to support successful outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in mergers & acquisitions (for manager)/ Minimum of 17 years of work experience in mergers & acquisitions (for senior manager), strategic planning, economic evaluation, finance, business development, or similar exposure.
- Able to lead a multi-disciplinary team and experience in drafting or negotiating commercial agreements is an added advantage.

- Prepare tax true-up analysis after-tax return submission.
- Prepare 6th and 9th-month revisions to the Petroleum and Corporate Income Tax Instalment Plan.
- Ensure timely payment of monthly tax instalments.
- Prepare monthly current and deferred tax accruals for Petroleum tax provision and perform monthly reconciliation.
- Prepare returns for Indirect Taxes applicable to the business, such as Sales and Service Tax and Sarawak Sales Tax.
- Liaise with Tax Authorities on various tax audits and finalize audits within the stipulated timeframe.
- Conduct tax research and develop an understanding of tax implications from various tax rulings.
- Assist in other tax and accounting-related matters as required by the Finance Manager or Home Office.
- Recognized degree in Accounting or professional qualification in accounting.
- Knowledge of tax computation preparation for the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with both Petroleum and Corporate Income Tax Acts.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines with accurate information.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in oil and gas.
- Proficient in oral and written communication in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP accounting systems is an added advantage.
