Our Client is an industrial business operating in the energy sector. A Head of Accounting is now required to join the busy team based in beautiful offices in Birkirkara. This organisation offers:

  Reporting directly to the Financial Controller this role will primarily be responsible for:
  • Accounting policies and procedures which will include using MS Navision to streamline accounting operations.
  • Managing supplier and contractors by acting as point of contact for key strategic contractors
  • Leading a team of accounting professionals, ensuring training, mentoring and development
  • Management of the accounts payable function by supervising the team to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Financial reporting and compliance including liaison with external auditors; preparation of tax documents; income tax computations
  • Providing analysis and reports for key external stakeholders
  • Management accounts and month-end closing
  Talent will:
  • Be a qualified Accountant with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Have extensive knowledge of IFRS and GAPSME accounting principles
  • Demonstrate experience of managing teams
  • Be detail orientated with good time management and report writing capabilities
  • Have proficiency in Excel with experience with ERP systems
