Planning Engineer – Energy / Major Infrastructure Projects Milan, Italy Contract An established international project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support the successful delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects. Reporting into the project services function, the role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress against the baseline plan, and providing schedule analysis to support effective project execution. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain the project master schedule aligned with the project execution strategy. - Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), define milestones, and identify critical path activities. - Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and highlight deviations. - Produce schedule reports, progress updates, and look-ahead plans for project teams. - Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to gather progress data. - Support schedule impact assessments for variations, changes, and potential delays. Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline. - Minimum 8 years’ experience in project planning within engineering, construction, or major infrastructure projects. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear reports and schedule analysis. - Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
