I’m supporting a leading international FPSO operator with a requirement for two experienced Production Supervisors to join its offshore production operations in Angola.

The positions will involve overseeing the safe and efficient operation of hydrocarbon processing facilities onboard a producing FPSO, with responsibility for production performance, process safety, operational continuity and the supervision of offshore production teams.

I’m particularly interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or equivalent within offshore oil and gas production, preferably on FPSOs.
• Experience on producing FPSOs of comparable scale, ideally with oil processing capacities in the region of 80,000–150,000 barrels per day.
• Strong technical knowledge of oil and gas separation, crude stabilisation, gas compression, dehydration and associated production utilities.
• Substantial Central Control Room (CCR) experience, including process monitoring, production optimisation and operational troubleshooting.
• Experience managing plant start-ups, shutdowns, process isolations and the safe reinstatement of production systems.
• Strong understanding of Permit to Work (PTW), process safety, Fire & Gas systems, emergency response and operational risk management.
• Experience supervising production operators and technicians, coordinating shift activities and maintaining safe, reliable production.
• Familiarity with subsea production systems, well testing, water injection, chemical injection and fiscal metering.
• Experience working closely with Production Superintendents, OIMs and maintenance teams to maximise plant availability and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Relevant offshore safety certification and a technical qualification in engineering, production operations or a related discipline.

Candidates currently working as Production Supervisors, Production Shift Supervisors, Production Superintendents or experienced FPSO Production Team Leaders would be particularly relevant.

The strongest profiles will combine recent, hands-on FPSO production experience with proven supervisory responsibility for hydrocarbon processing operations on installations of a comparable scale.

This is an expatriate offshore opportunity based in Angola. Previous experience on producing FPSOs in West Africa or other established international offshore oil and gas environments would be advantageous.
