Senior Commissioning & Decommissioning Lead – Offshore Oil & Gas

We are supporting a major international offshore energy operator with the appointment of a Senior Commissioning & Decommissioning Lead to support a portfolio of large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield offshore projects.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced offshore professional with a strong background across commissioning, start-up, shutdown and decommissioning activities within complex oil & gas facilities.
The successful individual will act as a focal point between project teams, operations readiness functions and EPC contractors, ensuring commissioning and decommissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently and in line with project schedules, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day commissioning and decommissioning execution activities across offshore projects
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations readiness and contractor teams throughout project phases
• Review and oversee commissioning/decommissioning procedures, method statements, inspection plans and schedules
• Ensure activities are delivered in accordance with approved engineering designs, project requirements and industry standards
• Support troubleshooting, risk mitigation and resolution of technical or operational challenges during execution phases
• Supervise and coordinate multi-disciplinary and multicultural contractor teams offshore and onshore
• Identify potential bottlenecks and provide practical solutions to maintain project delivery objectives
• Contribute to safe dismantling, disassembly and disposal activities for offshore and onshore facilities in line with environmental and regulatory expectations

Requirements:
• Minimum 15 years’ experience within offshore oil & gas projects
• Strong background across commissioning, start-up and decommissioning of offshore facilities
• At least 8 years in a senior leadership or supervisory capacity
• Proven experience supporting both FEED and EPC/EPCI project environments
• Strong understanding of commissioning and decommissioning strategy development and execution
• Ability to review and approve contractor deliverables and technical documentation
• Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations, quality control processes and industry best practice
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Multi-discipline engineering exposure with strong troubleshooting and analytical capability
