Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a highly successful organisation undertaking construction, engineering and finishings across a wide spectrum of projects including residential, industrial and retail.  As the project pipeline expands, a Quantity Surveyor is required to join within a client side role which will focus on procurement, commercial management and cost control of their various projects

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing BOQs
• Analysing drawings and specifications for cost estimation purposes
• Establishing and maintaining project budgets
• Issuing BOQs and scopes to subcontractors
• Comparing and evaluating quotations in order to appoint subcontractors
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Monitoring project costs whilst tracking variations
• Preparing forecasts and cost reports
• Assisting with subcontractor agreements
• Evaluating claims and managing variations and final accounts
• Improving procurement processes
• Building solid supplier and subcontractor networks

Talent will:

• Hold a relevant qualification in quantity surveying, engineering or similar
• Demonstrate approximately 3years+ experience in a similar role
• Have experience in construction, fit out and/or building services sector
• Possess proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel and have a strong background in BOQ preparation and cost estimation
