My client are looking to add a number of leadership positions to their Petroleum Engineering Department in 2024. There are multiple openings for Production Chemists at various levels, the highest being Principal.

Duties

• Provide strategy and guidance in areas of flow assurance and production chemistry

• Act as a technical advisor in areas of production chemistry, flow assurance and contaminants

• Focus on mature production and new field development with challenges around contaminants, waxy crudes, scaling and reservoir souring.

• Recommend and and review technology recommendations, to improve development and operations and ensure the right tools are available

• Support exploration, appraisal and field development projects and ensure best practice evaluation is applied to realise value and cost optimisation. Includes new hydrocarbons, water injection and CCS projects

• Support both sub-surface and surface operations activities, improvement programs and troubleshooting exercises

Candidates will need a minimum of 15 years of experience, with a Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering or other suitable disciplines. The position will be offered on a expat basis in Malaysia
