Role: Technical Superintendent
Location: France or Singapore
Key Responsibilities:
- Takes charge of the technical and financial management of the vessels assigned to them.
- Works with purchasers to identify the most suitable products and manages obsolescence issues.
- Approves purchase orders according to the vessel’s budget and priorities.
- Ensures that the crew complies with HSE rules and ISM‑related procedures.
- Port call works: plans and organizes maintenance tasks, ensures compliance with port regulations, selects suppliers and specialists.
- Dry‑docking:plans and organizes activities, drafts specifications, requests quotations, schedules equipment replacements based on obsolescence, wear, and regulatory requirements, participates in shipyard selection, supervises work, checks invoices, and initiates statutory inspections.
- Annual and Class Surveys:organizes and initiates vessel inspections, liaises with Flag State and Classification Society authorities, obtains class and statutory certificates, and monitors deadlines.
- Conducts regular vessel visits and prepares vessel inspection reports.
- Reporting: operational and technical reporting to the Technical Director; financial and accounting reporting to support services.
- Maintains a strong customer‑focused mindset, enabling them to respond effectively to various client requests.
Education / Experience:
- Master Mariner and/or Chief Engineer license.
- General engineering background with a mechanical focus.
Languages / Skills:
- Perfectly bilingual, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Rigor, organization, diplomacy, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Word/Excel and solid knowledge of industrial IT (industrial network management) and automation.
