Mechanical Package Engineer – Oil & Gas (Offshore Projects)

I am seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Engineer. This role offers exposure to major EPC projects and high-value equipment packages across the full project lifecycle.
*Must have strong FPSO/FPU background*
Key Responsibilities
Act as Package Engineer for mechanical systems, delivering FEED and procurement engineering documentation (equipment specs, datasheets, technical requisitions, SDRLs)
Lead and perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and prepare detailed evaluation reports
Review and approve vendor documentation (VCDs) for both complex and standard equipment packages
Ensure all deliverables meet project specifications, P&IDs, and safety/reliability standards
Interface with multidisciplinary teams (process, layout, EICT, yard engineering) to resolve technical issues
Liaise with clients, classification bodies, and regulatory authorities to secure design approvals
Support subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and compliant document submission
Contribute to mechanical design reviews, calculations, and system integration
Provide input across pre-commissioning and commissioning phases
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related discipline
Minimum 6 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within oil & gas projects
Strong experience with rotating equipment (e.g. gas turbine generators, compressors, pumps, seals)
Exposure to static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks) advantageous
Experience across offshore projects such as fixed platforms, FPUs, or FPSOs preferred
Proven ability to work independently on engineering deliverables and vendor management
