Mechanical Engineer

Malta

Our client is an established building services contractor delivering mechanical engineering solutions across a range of projects in Malta. As its project workload grows, the company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support work from tender stage through installation and commissioning.

Working with the engineering and site teams, you will:

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and budgets for labour, materials and equipment.
• Contribute to tenders, procurement plans, technical submissions and engineering drawings.
• Survey sites and develop practical HVAC and mechanical services solutions.
• Support the design, costing, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Identify suitable suppliers and coordinate the purchase of materials and equipment.
• Visit sites to review progress, monitor material use and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate drawing and specification changes with the relevant teams.
• Provide technical guidance to site staff and support the development of junior colleagues.
• Keep stakeholders informed through clear progress reports.

Talent will:

• Have a degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering and a sound understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services.
• Be comfortable balancing design, commercial and site responsibilities
• Possess strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Have experience with AutoCAD or similar software
