Our client, a well-established manufacturer within the building materials sector, is seeking a highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple priorities, and ensuring the smooth delivery of products to customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time.
  • Act as the central point of contact between production, transport, and customer-facing teams to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Allocate vehicles and drivers effectively, making the best use of available resources while responding to changing operational demands.
  • Monitor fleet availability and work alongside the maintenance team to minimise disruption to delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with quality and production departments to ensure customer requirements and product specifications are consistently achieved.
  • Prepare delivery documentation, dispatch paperwork, and transport records accurately and within required timescales.
  • Oversee weighbridge activities, ensuring all inbound and outbound materials are processed correctly and supporting documentation is completed.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and ensure administrative processes are completed to a high standard.
  • Promote a safe and organised working environment by following company health, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Escalate operational issues, incidents, or delays promptly to management and contribute to continuous improvements across the logistics function.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be fluent in both Maltese and English.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Have the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Be an effective communicator with the confidence to liaise across several departments.
  • Work well under pressure and remain calm when priorities change.
  • Possess strong IT and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience within logistics, transport planning, manufacturing, construction materials, or a similar operational environment will be considered an advantage.
