Our client is a design, cost and project management consultancy operating from Head Quarters on Malta but undertaking projects throughout the world.
Due to continued project awards and expansion of the commercial team, a Cost Manager / QS is now required to join the organisation on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Quantity Surveying, the purpose of this role will be to develop commercial strategies in accordance with project requirements; ensuring that all commercial aspects are properly controlled whilst developing and maintaining relationships with the client.
Responsibilities:
- Liaison with Client and the project team to determine the Client requirements and to develop brief
- Prepare appraisals as required, assessing the effects of capital expenditure
- Advise the team on the project brief, preferred procurement routes, costs and cash flow
- Advise on alternative procurement options
- Analyse the whole-life costs of a project through both planning the construction process.
- Take responsibility for the monitor and control of costs during pre-contract stages
- Co-ordination of risk and value management exercises
- Preparation of tender and contract documentation
- Act as part of the Client’s team conducting negotiations with tenderers and assisting in tender selection and appraisal on behalf of the Client
- Provide contractual advice for parties involved in the case of dispute
- Liaise with Client’s insurance advisers and advise on insurance related matters in construction
- Liaise with Client’s legal advisers on use and/or amendments to standard forms of contract or contribute to drafting of particular Client requirements; making recommendation for Client’s approval
- Be degree qualified and preferably (but not essentially) be MRICS
- Possess solid experience in the cost management of large scale, luxury projects
- Where possible have knowledge of integrated building services on major projects
- Demonstrate experience using cost estimating software (advantageous)

Our Client is a well-established multidisciplinary practice in Malta seeking a talented and motivated Structural Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructural developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design structural systems using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and local regulations.
- Prepare structural analysis, design calculations, and technical documentation for construction and planning permits.
- Produce and review detailed drawings in collaboration with architects, drafters, and other engineers.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to coordinate and manage project requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and project reports.
- Support partners in the delivery of engineering solutions within time and budget constraints.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 2years of relevant experience in structural design.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design codes, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in structural design and analysis software (e.g., Robot, ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, or similar).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit workflows is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Warranted or in the process of obtaining a professional warrant to practice in Malta would be ideal.
- Experience working on projects within the Maltese regulatory and construction environment.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a hugely successful and well known building services organisation requiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage the technical and commercial delivery of mechanical installation projects. This includes overseeing design development, cost planning, and providing technical support to operational teams, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and in line with client and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all necessary technical and commercial information is available to support the preparation of designs, drawings, and cost estimates in accordance with tender and contract requirements.
- Take full ownership of mechanical design and technical development for assigned projects, including reviewing and validating design solutions.
- Lead the preparation and review of workshop drawings, ensuring effective coordination with other services, structural components, and architectural elements.
- Review and approve material and equipment submittals, technical documentation, and samples for client approval, ensuring compliance with specifications and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and oversee detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and material take-offs based on tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Analyse tender documentation and system designs to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options to optimise project costs.
- Liaise with local and international suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure technical compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee procurement activities, including the preparation and review of purchase orders for mechanical equipment and materials.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams during project execution, including resolving installation and coordination challenges.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, attending meetings and providing expert advice on mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across design, cost, and delivery strategies.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing their work and promoting adherence to company standards and best practices.
- Be experienced in design and supervision of building services projects
- Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
- Demonstrate excellent ability with AutoCAD and preferably Revit
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively sell all company products and services, with emphasis on Air Conditioning and Alternative Energy solutions
- Manage new client enquiries and develop strong relationships with prospective customers
- Assess client requirements and recommend appropriately sized and specified systems
- Prepare and present accurate, competitive quotations
- Secure new business while maintaining and growing existing client accounts
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the sales and delivery process
- Represent and promote the company’s brand in a professional manner
- Participate in internal and supplier-led training to maintain strong product knowledge
- Work collaboratively within the Sales Team to achieve company objectives and deliver value to clients
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations issued, and contracts secured on a weekly and monthly basis
- Keep all product information, supplier documentation, and pricing up to date to ensure the best solutions are offered to clients
- Uphold the company’s professional image, standards, and integrity at all times
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution, including order follow-ups and clear communication with clients regarding progress
- Maintain and update the client database, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and shared where necessary
- Prepare reports following client meetings and site visits
- Follow up on all quotations within 48 hours; escalate any delays to the Sales Manager
- Ensure continuity of work by delegating responsibilities when out of the office
- Carry out any additional duties as required by management
