Our client is an international company specializing in engineering services in oil & gas, renewables, marine and nuclear. For their office in southern France, we are seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer.

Your duties will include :

• Perform and/ or supervise numerical analyses and pipeline/ cable design activities using analytical tools

• Perform pipeline non-linear FE analyses (e.g. global buckling analysis, free span assessment, On – bottom stability analysis)

• Manage Riser Projects including:

o Budget evaluation & proposal preparation

o Internal coordination of the team (design engineers)

o Management of the planning and cost control aspects to meet project requirements and deadlines

o Technical interface with client and reporting

• Supervise and mentor young engineers

• Participate to R&D Projects and development of new numerical tools

• Involvement in projects for the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy industries

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Ocean, Mechanical or Marine)

Min 10 years overall industry experience, with a minimum of 7 years direct offshore pipeline design

Competent in subsea pipeline design

Strong knowledge in FEA and particularly using ABAQUS

Experience in pipeline non-linear FE analyses

Good knowledge in standard oil & gas standards

Fluency in English is mandatory
