Our client is an international company providing top-class engineering services in oil & gas, renewables, marine and nuclear. For their office in southern France, we are seeking a Lead FOWT Engineer.

Your duties will include :

• Perform and/or supervise numerical analyses on floating wind turbine systems from conceptual design to full detailed engineering and in-service integrity verification.

• Use industry standard software (e.g. DEEPLINES, Diodore, ABAQUS, …)

• Manage FOWT Projects including:

o Budget evaluation & proposal preparation

o Internal coordination of the team (design engineers)

o Management of the planning and cost control aspects to meet project requirements and deadlines

o Technical interface with client and reporting

• Supervise and mentor young engineers

• Participate to R&D Projects and development of new numerical tools

• Involvement in projects for the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy industries

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical or Ocean Engineering

Min. 10 years overall experience with at least 3 years in a similar position

Strong knowledge of codes, standards, methodologies, numerical tools and state of the art FOWT design approaches

Strong knowledge of either DEEPLINES/ Orcaflex and DIODORE, HYDROSTAR, ARIANE

Fluency in English is mandatory
