Instrumentation Supervisor

We are looking for an Instrumentation Supervisor with experience on LNGc/ FSRU. This will be a rotational position in West Africa, be based on a Floating Regasification Unit, with accommodation on land.

The selected candidates will guarantee the correct operation and maintenance of the equipment and facilities in relation to the mechanical component and civil works, guaranteeing the safety of the facilities and the protection of the environment.


Execute the maintenance plans.

Planification of the maintenance daily, monthly, and annual work regarding instrumentation maintenance

Creation, execution, and control of workorders referring to instrumentation maintenance.

Operate and maintain survival craft and launching systems and systems for fire prevention, detection and extinction as per the applicable standards and regulations.

Detect and identify the cause of failure in PLCs, scadas and control systems.

Calibrate and ensure the accurate performance of the instrumentation of the Terminal.

Maintain and supervise the correct performance of the gas chromatographs of the Terminal

Maintain control and communication systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.

Define the conditions for the safe execution of maintenance works and elaborate the correspondent Permits to Work

Maintain those systems and equipment required for the prevention of the pollution

Management the waste generated as a result of a maintenance activity

Participate in emergencies as per the role assigned in the Emergency Response Plan


Knowledge of PLCs, scada systems and Distributed Control Systems

Knowledge of gas chromatography and gas metering technologies

Knowledge of instrumented safety systems and fire and gas detection systems

Knowledge of field instrumentation

Knowledge of communication protocols such as hart, modbus, canbus or equivalent

General knowledge of electrical systems

Experience with CMMS systems, preferable SAP.

General overview of pollution prevention systems and equipment and pollution prevention procedures.

Knowledge and experience in safe working practices: occupational safety, permit to work, works under water, confined spaces, etc.

General knowledge about reparation and installation works in hazardous areas.


More than 5 years of experience in oil and gas industry, carrying out similar functions

Required experience or LNG carriers/ FSRUs

Required experience in dual fuel engines


Required valid certification III/6 (STCW Regulations); equivalent to Electro-Technical Officer

Required competence in personal survival techniques (VI/1-1 as per STCW Regulations or equivalent).

Required competence in security awareness (VI/6-1 as per STCW Regulations or equivalent).

Required competence in basic training for liquified gas tanker cargo operations (VI/1-2-1 as per STCW Regulations or equivalent).

Required competence in Advance Fire Fighting Training (A-VI/3 as per STCW Regulations or equivalent)

Required valid certification for carry out maintenance activities (such as repairs, inspections, tests, etc.) in hazardous areas
