Our client is at the beginning of a transformative EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project in West Africa and are seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Engineer to join the team.

Position Overview:

As an Installation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the EPC project’s success, ensuring the seamless execution of installation activities within the oil and gas industry. Your expertise will be central to the project’s timely completion, safety compliance, and overall efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project while being based in Woking and working on-site in West Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed installation plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry regulations.

Provide technical expertise in the installation of equipment, structures, and systems, overseeing the execution of construction activities.

Conduct thorough site assessments and surveys to identify potential challenges and recommend effective solutions.

Lead a team of technicians and contractors, ensuring their adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.

Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to communicate progress, address concerns, and implement any necessary adjustments.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the installation process, employing your deep understanding of oil and gas systems.

Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities, progress reports, and compliance records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering field.

Proven experience – 10 years in installation engineering within the oil and gas sector, with a focus on EPC projects.

In-depth knowledge of oil and gas equipment, structures, and systems installation techniques.

Familiarity with industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and lead a diverse team.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.

Exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey technical information clearly.

Location and Travel:

This position is based in Woking, near London, with periodic travel required to the project site in West Africa as the project reaches its later stages.
