Quantity Surveyor

My client provides support services across the UK, and they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join them on a contract basis ... in their Portsmouth office. Working on a busy ‘live’ site, you will be responsible for all the QS duties and reporting on the contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding company.

THE ROLE

• Working on a busy live site, performing all QS duties for the contract in a timely manner
• Collating monthly cost reports and all internal reporting
• Weekly costings and invoicing
• Supporting colleagues with financial reporting
• Reporting to the operations manager
• Keeping track of variations, reporting variances

ABOUT YOU

• Degree In Quantity Surveying
• Experience in a similar role, working on high value projects
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• It literate – Excel expert
• Flexible with regards to hours and travel
• ‘Can do’ attitude

Deputy Fabrication Project Manager – Onshore Angola

Ably Resources currently require a Deputy Fabrication Project Manager for ... their client on their onshore project in Angola.

Package -

Location: Angola
Start date: ASAP
Duration: One year (renewable)
Rotation: 75/21 (75 days onsite / 21 days rotational leave)
Working days/hours: 6 days per week / 10 hours per day (Off Sunday)
Salary: Competitive (Paid working days only)

Pension: 5% paid by company / 5% paid by employee


Job Description –

▪ Ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organisational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives
▪ Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with Client requirements,within time and cost constraints and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures
▪ Achieve profit objectives ensuring the observance of client’s procedures and practices

Please note that experience in jacket construction is a must for this role and client wont accept anyone who doesn’t have this.

Tasks-

▪ Supervise the economic and financial Task by defining the most appropriate methodology to be applied to produce the project economic indicators (only for Feasibility Studies PM)
▪ Represent client towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing also contractual aspects
▪ Ensure the review of contractual documents
▪ Define project strategies (e.g. Project Execution Plan, Quality Plan, Procurement Plan), ensuring the project activity planning
▪ Supervise planning and cost control activities supported by the other project organisation roles, implementing the corrective actions needed to achieve the established project objectives
▪ Supervise home office engineering and procurement activities supported by the other project organisation roles
▪ Supervise site/yard and offshore activities
▪ Supervise all project activities with regards to quality and HSE topics, supported by the other project organisation roles
▪ Ensure the issue of project reports
▪ Ensure the implementation of methodologies related to risk and knowledge management and to client’s Golden and Silver Rules
▪ Ensure the collection of project feedbacks, issuing the final project report
▪ Ensure Client assistance during the guarantee period

Ably Resources ... are recruiting now for roles on two brand new 6th gen cyber jack-ups for drilling contracts in the UK North Sea.
We are currently dealing with a global drilling client that have a requirement for a Barge Engineer.

We are looking for experienced candidates with relevant offshore experience, valid certificates and excellent jack up experience.

Successful candidates will be required to work in the shipyard in Singapore first before heading out to the North Sea. Candidates must have at least 4 – 5 years of recent experience in the North Sea.
