Our Client is ... a nationwide provider of Offsite Building Solutions to healthcare, education and public sector customers.



A Contracts Manager is now required to join the team in West Yorkshire on a temp to perm basis. The role will initially be a 3 month contract but with a strong intention to go permanent thereafter.



Ideally applicants will be degree qualified and be a member of CIOB or working their way towards Corporate Membership.



To be successful for interview your CV will demonstrate experience of administering Design & Build contracts (between £1m and £7m value) with a detailed involvement from receipt of order to the settlement of final account and receipt of the Making Good Defects Certificate.



Reporting to the construction Director, the main tasks of this role will include:

Maximising profits on all contract increasing tender margins by good practice management practices and negotiating with subcontractors
Procuring all subcontractors
Ensuring that all key deadlines are achieved
Ensuring quality of work is of a very high standard
Establish good relationships with clients and all key stakeholders with a view to securing repeat business
Preparing monthly interim valuations and settling the final account.
Controlling subcontractor costs

Your CV will show you have previously successfully ensured projects are completed on time with maximised profits and to the clients’ satisfaction.



Please note that our client works internationally and therefore the role will include notable travel and probably overnight stays.

Senior instrument Engineer - Cheshire

Ably Resources would like to speak to Senior Instrument Engineers in theCheshire area for a long term contract role in Runcorn.

As ... Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the timely execution and verification of electrical and Instrumentation designs to strict timetables. You will also be in control of a team of designers and engineers, which you will be required to oversee and mentor to achieve the project goals.

Main Duties and experience required are as follows:

Control and give direction to CAD designers ensure that QA procedures are adhered to.
Discuss problems with the client and determine possible solutions for implementation.
Control of time expended on a project ensuring that project expenditure is not exceeded
Proven ability in the design and implementation of EI projects
A knowledge of electrical systems would be an advantage but the principal knowledge base shall be Instruments.
Understanding of offshore codes of practice, regulations and standards
Competent with Hazardous area equipment & working with Atex and PED

Candidates should be at least time served or be in possession of at least an HNC.

The use of some or all of the following packages would also preferable: Autocad, Rastercad, Microstation and IrasB.

Our client undertakes the design and manufacture of high integrity HVAC ... equipment for the marine and offshore industry from offices throughout the world including UK, Singapore, UAE and Brazil.

An experienced and enthusiastic Senior Project Engineer is now required to join the Lanarkshire based team to run newly secured contracts ranging from £10k to £200k in value.

Applicants for this position will have an engineering related degree (preferably mechanical engineering) with knowledge of manufacturing and HVAC systems.

You will have excellent organisational skills together with the ability to work within time and budget constraints. Able to prioritise workloads, the successful applicant will have experience in a similar experience managing projects from design stage through to procurement, fabrication and delivery.

Our Client offers a salary to £45K dependent on experience together with an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing organisation working with international clients.
