WorleyParsons has over 100 years of power industry experience, tracing its roots in this business sector to Charles T. Main and Gilbert/Commonwealth in the USA and John Thompson, SECVI and Burmot in Australia. The presence of WorleyParsons in Asia was boosted by its acquisition of Development Resources Pte Ltd (DRPL) - the power consultancy arm of Singapore Power in 2005. Drawing from this long history of combined experience, WorleyParsons has performed engineering, design, procurement, construction, and operations and maintenance services for hundreds of power, industrial, commercial, and government facilities. Providing full professional services to all types of gas, coal, oil, and nuclear power plants and transmission and distribution systems, WorleyParsons power operations has been instrumental in supplying over 150,000 Megawatts (MW) of generating capacity worldwide.
